Variety : syrah - South Australia - Red wine - 75 cl bottle -
The 2012 Selkirk Shiraz offers distinctive varietal characters of lifted white pepper aroma, dark berry fruit, plum and savoury spice. It displays a well-balanced palate structure, soft supple tannins and well integrated oak.
After fermenting in small open top fermenters the wine spent up to 18 months in selected new and older fine grain American oak.
Parcels were chosen to give the final blend the best balance between varietal fruit character, complexity and structure.
CELLARING Although drinking well now, this wine will reward with up to 4+ years.
SERVE Matches well with Mediterranean foods, red meat and cheeses. WINEMAKER Rebecca Willson
