Variety Tempranillo, Grenache and Carignan - Navarra area (Spain) - Red wine - 75 cl bottle - Rioja DOCa - Serve at 16-17 °C

The vineyards are situated in high site in La Rioja Alavesa. The bush vines are on south facing slopes with a chalky clay soil typical in this area. The low Ph and good acidity of the Manuela grape and the quality Grenache from this vintage make for a perfect age worthy wine. A good selection from exclusive vineyards noted for freshness and concentration after an early morning hand harvest. Fermentation (max 25ºC) in small inox tanks with pumping over five times a day and a 14 day maceration. Ageing in French and American oak barrels for 4-6 years in search of a full integration of the wine and the oak. Fined in concrete tanks for various months.

APPEARENCE A medium intense garnet colour.

AROMA Deep balsamic oaky aromas of dried prunes, liquorice and sweet spices, clove, tobacco and cedar.

VARIETIES 50% Tempranillo 30% Garnacha 20% Mazuelo (carignan)
