samedi 27 avril 2024

I don't have too much time to make articles on a particular wine. But daily, I taste the new entrants and certain new vintages of "classic" on the site. So this is a kind of best-of-breast of wines tasted recently ...

Without sulfites added

The dress is golden, pulling on pink gold.

The nose is expressive, on the apple, quince and mass cap.

The mouth is round, ample, aerial, deploying a rather dense, fleshy material, dominated by the quince jelly completed by the spices. Acidity is ensured by a fine line of carbon dioxide completed by a good aromatic freshness (candied lemon, orange bark).

The finish is intense and concentrated, with a nice triple A: acidity and astrint of lemon and bitterness of the bark of Pomelo and a touch of quinquin.

The dress is a translucent dark garnet.

The nose is fine, fresh, on blackcurrant, cubèbe pepper and menthol, with a (very) light animal touch.

The mouth is round, fresh, coated, deploying a very finely velvety material and offering a brilliant fruit toned by a subtle volatile acidity.

The final is gaining in concentration without presenting the slightest hardness, with a tension that rises crescendo on the blackcurrant and the menthol. Happy!

The dress is translucent garnet with tiled reflections.

The nose is fine, complex, on the candied fruit, the dried orange bark, the mocha and the old lightning (in the idea of traditional Italian wines), with a subtle speed of volatile which refreshes the whole.

The mouth is round, very large, enveloping, deploying a rather fine and aerial material at the start, but quickly gaining in density and tannins without becoming hard. It is really the aromatic as complex as in the nose that makes the charm of this wine, with this mix of red and black candied fruit, grilled / smoke notes, citrus and spices.

The finish prolongs the mouth without even realizing it except a firmer lamb's lettuce which appears in a second step, mixing orange with mocha and dark chocolate, with persistence on the orangette .

100 % Gamay

The dress is translucent garnet.

The nose is fine, deep, on the candied cherry, the floral pot, violet and smoked tip.

The mouth is round, very ample, air, unrolling a silky, elegant material, while having background and presence. The fruit is pure, expressive, very cherry, with this subtle patina - bramble, ripe roundup - which might suggest that the wine has more bottles.

The finish succeeds not only in prolonging this state of grace, but making it even more beautiful, mixing a delicate biting with a veil of fat which is gently deposited on the tongue, with a return of the floral and smoked notes that persist at length . Stunning !

Very little extraction - 10 % alc.vol.

The mouth is round, ample, enveloping, with a flexible material, finely luscious, gradually gaining in density.

The finish is firmer, while keeping a fresh and tangy side and great digestibility, mixing the plumbing with bitter orange.

We find this duality in an intense and tannic finish: ultra-confidence fruits on one side, dinguissimic and balsamic freshness on the other. Out of norms.

70 % Duras, 30 % Syrah

The nose is discreet, a little reduced, letting out some fruity and spicy notes.

The mouth combines magnitude and tension, with a soft, caressing material, which coats you the whole palate, and an invisible thread that stretches you all with incredible grace. The combination of the two is magical, highlighting a fruit of great purity.

The final succeeds in prolonging the miracle, contenting itself with adding a little more dense tannins, but offering the seduction of a Latin lover with its two -day beard, with a most dark fruit. Irresistible.
